We are the Walden Glen Wahoos!

Walden Glen has been a part of the Northern Virginia Swim League (NVSL) since 1971!

We promote the mission of the Northern Virginia Swim League - A love for the sport, advanced aquatic skills, teamwork, and the principles of good sportsmanship.

The Wahoo philosophy encourages our swimmers to excel in effort, team spirit, and good sportsmanship in the sport of swimming.

Coaching and training are geared towards ALL swimmers improving technique, developing skills in all strokes, improving times, building community, and having fun!

Friday night Pep Rallies enhance team spirit...Team activities build a strong community...Monday B Meets develop competition…Saturday A Meets promote competition. Wahoo teammates are encouraging, welcoming, enthusiastic, and have fun each summer.

The Northern Virginia Swimming League was founded in 1956 to sponsor competitive swimming and diving in and among the community swimming pools in the area, and we are so proud to be a part of it.

Swim Team, Mini Wahoos, or Swim School?

Not sure which program to sign up for? Normally you would attend the first 8-under practice (May 26, 2026 @ 5:00 pm) for a coach’s evaluation. Due to the cold weather forecast, please email the reps at [email protected] to let us know you are interested so we can set something up when it warms up. If you miss the beginning of the season, contact the reps so we can set up a meeting. We always welcome new swimmers and families!

Sometimes private instruction is a good way to start, supplement, or focus on specific aspects of stroke. For private lessons of any level, coaches are available outside of practice time. Sessions and rates are decided between the family and coach.
