Team Gear & Orders
Team Suits: All swimmers are encouraged to purchase and wear the official team suit, but team suits are not mandatory. We have an optional hand-me-down program for team suits. If you are interested in participating, please contact a Team Rep.
Swimmers should choose a competition-style one-piece suit for girls or a jammer or brief/”speedo” for boys. Swimmer comfort and modesty is important; however, swimming in board shorts and/or a rashguard-style shirt will make the learning process more challenging.
Caps: Walden Glen team encourages all swimmers to wear a team cap at meets. The NVSL prohibits wearing any other team cap at meets, but any other cap is acceptable. At home meets, the concession stand will have Walden Glen team caps for sale.
If hair is long enough to get in the swimmer’s eyes, the swimmer must wear a cap at practice. Any swim cap is permitted at practices.
Goggles: Goggles should be worn at all practices and meets. Swimmers should have two pairs of goggles with them at practices and meets.
